“Information penetrates us all the way through, as the cosmic wind, and settles in our DNA. Therefore, it is not important where do you live and what language do you speak – all the information needed is inside us.” – says VALYA.
In the exhibition “Cell Memory at ZEH gallery VALYA has showed about dozen compositions, which consist from the portraits. This is her “art-researches” about humanity and its memory. Over hundreds portraits performed in felt technique, literally confirming, that we all are made of the same DNA “thread”.
”One of the reason I chose felt media because it is the oldest fabric that human ever made and it has a similar history to the ancient cells within us. Also felt offered a freedom of possibilities. It offered depth dimension and also easy manipulation”, says VALYA. 
The reference to the cells within us reveals the story behind VALYA’s works. Each peace is expressing a different history. The repetition of form and surface creates an eerie yet mesmerizing wall of faces that stare back at you as a reflection o the souls of our ancestral that are imprinted within us.
